Elegant Style

Welcome to another week at Sisters in Stamping. This week the sisters were to use the stamp set Elements of Style which will be available to order tomorrow, Saturday, May 1, 2010.  It is one of the many fabulous sets you will find in the new Summer Mini Catalog. While at Leadership Conference this past January, we all received this set as a special gift from Shelli. It was in addition to the set we received for our make n takes.

It is a set that says elegance just by looking at the stamps that come in it. Our first card is done by Debbie Naylor. It is a soft, muted card that is very pretty. Need more information on how to make this card, go check out Debbie's blog.

The next card was created by Jacque Craig.  I love the monochromatic look of this card. It would be very pretty for many elegant occasions. Check out Jacque's blog for more information on how she made this card.

The card below was made by Karla Anders. I love the ease that this stamp set allows you to create in. Easy to create, yet very elegant. Check out Karla's blog for more information on how to recreate her card.

And the final card has been created by me, Rachel Yurkanin. Another pretty card. I don't think you can not make a pretty card while using this set. Check out my blog for more information on how I put this card together.

Thank you for visiting us again this week. Come back next week. You will just melt over next's weeks creations. How's that for a tease?

Awash with Flowers is Fabulous!!!

It's Friday and you know what that means... it's time for another Fabulous Friday share!!

Stampin' Up! is allowing us to purchase the stamp set Awash with Flowers this month as part of the Two-Step into Spring! promotion.  This is a stamp set that will not be available again until the new catalog debuts in July.  Don't you love sneak peek opportunities like this one?  Want to hear something even better?  Any hostesses that have workshop orders totaling $350+ during April will get this stamp set for FREE in addition to their regular hostess benefits.  WOOOO HOOOOO!  We are focusing on this versatile stamp set this week for our Fabulous Friday projects and we hope you find some inspiration here!

Our first project was created by Jacque Craig.  Wondering how Jacque got a butterfly out of an all-flower set?  You will find all the details on her blog here about this fun birthday card.

Karla Anders also submitted a card this week... it is so elegant, don't you think?  And you'll see she also came up with a clever way to get a butterfly!  I wonder how she got a partial texture on her card?  You will find all the details about it here on her blog.

This project was created by Rachel Yurkanin. It's a bright, cheerful Get Well Card? Who wouldn't cheer up and feel even a little bit better after receiving this card.  Full details can be found on her blog here.

This last submission is mine.  I created a set of cards with a matching gift bag to hold them all.  Please visit my blog here to see the cards inside and get all the details.

What Would We do Without the Big Shot?!?

When Stampin' Up! first announced that they were adding the Big Shot to our product line, I was a little skeptical.  I couldn't figure out how that big pasta maker looking thing was going to enhance my stamping!  Now I don't know what I would do without it, and from the projects that my Sister's in Stamping put together today, I think they feel the same!

Here is Rachel's cute project!
Check out Rachel's blog for more information on how she made this cute little favor!

Debbie also used the Big Shot and fabric this week to create an oh so cute rag bag!
I love the colors and the ribbon handles!  Check out Debbie's blog for more information!

Here is Karla's cute little favor box!
Karla also used the Big Shot to make the flowers for her favor box.  You'll want to go to Karla's blog to see what's inside the favor!

I use the Big Shot a lot for cards that I do for my Stamp-A-Stacks.  Here is one that we made last week!
Check out my blog for a list of supplies used on this card.

Thank for coming by to visit us!  Next week we'll be spotlighting a new stamp set that is on sale this month, Awash with Flowers!  Come see us again, and in the mean time, happy stamping!!  Debbie, Karla, Jacque, and Rachel!

We're Doing Some 2-Stepping

Welcome to another week at Sisters in Stamping. Today we are going to share with you several different cards using 2-step stamping. A quick and easy way to achieve a lot of color on your projects.  Stampin' Up!'s April promotion is all about 2-stepping.  There is even a stamp set you can order now even though it will be in the new catalog when it makes it's debut in July. It's called Awash with Flowers. You can order it now in either wood mount ( # 117062  $39.95) or clear mount ( # 120549  $27.95) Even better, host a workshop in April and receive it FREE with workshop orders totaling $350 or more.

Also during April, you can purchase several different 2-step stamp sets for a 20% discount. There are 4 sets and they can all be found in the big Idea Book and Catalog.  See below for sets, item numbers, page numbers and the discounted price.

# 113824  page 94   Greenhouse Garden    $20.76

# 113734  page 98    Fifth Avenue Floral    $19.96

# 111578  page 101  Flower Fancy            $29.56

# 113258  page 112  Trendy Trees             $14.36

Our first project is brought to us by Debbie Naylor. She used the Flower Fancy set to make a scrapbook page about the things I love. It's a great page to document a little information about yourself.  How often do you forget yourself when scrapbooking?  Then again, you can use it for that someone special that you always seems to scrapbook.  Be sure to visit Debbie's Blog to get more information to create this page yourself.

The next card was made by Jacque Craig. She used the Garden Greenhouse set to make this great card showing the Aloha spirit. She even had a personalized stamp made to say "Mahalo" that she used on this card. Remember personalized stamps don't have to just have a name or address on them.  Check out Jacque's blog for more information on this great card.

The next card was made by Karla Anders. She also used the Flower Fancy set. She was inspired by a scarf she bought while making this card. Its bright, cheerful colors make it a great birthday card. Hop on over to Karla's blog to see the scarf that inspired as well as get more information on how to re-create this card for yourself.

And this final card was made by me, Rachel Yurkanin.  I used the new set Awash with Flowers for my card. It's a great 2-step set with so many pieces to put together. If you can think outside the box you can come up with even more uses for the stamps than just flowers. Remember to check out my blog for more information on how to create this card yourself.

Thank you for stopping by again this week. Hope you have been inspired to go do some 2-stepping of your own.  If you don't have an April workshop booked be sure to contact your demonstrator so you can earn the Awash with Flowers set for FREE with your qualifying workshop.  Remember 20% off 4 different stamps sets for the whole month of April!!

See you next week,
Debbie, Jacque, Karla and Rachel
