Back-to-School Fabulous Teacher Gifts

Thank you so much for visiting with us today for Fabulous Friday!  My kids are back in school as are many across the country and the rest will be heading back shortly... we thought it would be fun to share some projects that could be given to their teachers as they embark on a new school year.

Here we have Karla's project - it's an altered kraft box filled with homemade oatmeal cookies, YUM!  What teacher wouldn't be thrilled to receive such a special gift!  Be sure to visit Karla's blog here to get all the details.

Rachel created this great  fabric card holder.  You will find all the details about Rachel's project  and see the cute set of cards she made to go inside the holder on her blog post here.

My project is a gift ensemble I created using the Floral District designer series paper pack and includes a post-it note holder with matching pen and a divided box containing four 3"x3" note cards and covered chocolate nuggets.  Please visit my blog here for more information about my project.

Thank you so much for visiting with us today!  We hope you have a wonderful and safe labor day weekend!!

Just a little Spritz

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday here at Sisters in Stamping.  Time to visit with each other already. The weeks just keep passing by so quickly. Summer is quickly becoming a memory as kids head back to school. Hope you had a wonderful summer that is filled with great memories and that you have some fun and exciting things planned for the upcoming fall season.

This week we are focusing on spritzers. We have some great items in the catalog featuring spritzers, some come empty and you can fill with what you like and others have liquid in them ready to use and then of course we can't forget the great color spritzer tool that you use with your Stampin' Write Markers.

The color spritzer tool and the empty Stampin' Spritzers are found on page 179 in the 2012-2013 Catalog. The Smooch Spritz can be found on page 158.

This beatiful card was made by Jacque Craig.  She used the Vanilla Smooch Spritz on her card. Want more details? Go to Jacque's blog for all the information.

Here is Karla's card for this week. She mixed up her own concoction....check out her blog for the recipe.

Isn't this a fabulous scrapbook page?  Debbie Naylor used a "stencil" to make the lattice on her page. She made her own shimmer mist with a twist. Head over to her blog for more information.

And this elegant card was created by Rachel Yurkanin. She also made her own shimmer mist. Be sure to go to her blog for all the details on this card.

Thank you for visiting us today. Don't forget there is only one week left to join the Stampin' Up! family and receive an awesome Halloween Decor Printer's Tray kit for FREE. Contact your demonstrator today for more details.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Our favorites from the New 2012 Holiday Mini

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday here on the Sisters in Stamping blog! The New 2012 Holiday Mini catalog was released August 1st and the Sisters are featuring our favorites this week. The new catalog is larger than years past in 2 ways, size 8 1/2 x 11, and thicker 39 pages of new accessories and fun holiday themed stamp sets!

First up we have Debbie's card--

Debbie picked a cute set called Owl Occasions (pg.13) and used some of the new Googlie Eyes (pg.27) to create 2 sets of cards. Get more info on her blog.

Next we have Rachel's card, she used an individual stamp called Frosty Friends (pg.9). Love the glittery-ness of Rachel's card! Get all of the details by clicking here to zip on over to her blog.

Jacque's card features the new set Perfectly Preserved and the matching Framelit dies (pg.29). The colors are so bright and cheery! Here is a link to Jacque's blog to see why this set is so special.

Lastly, here is my (Karla's) card. I used the new set called Snowflake Soiree. I love it's delicate lines and the font SU! used for the words in the set. Hop on over to my blog to learn what cool technique I used to make this card.

Thank-you as always for coming by this Friday to check us out. Contact your Demonstrator today to get a copy of the 2012 Holiday Mini for yourself!

Rachel created this Congratulations card for us this week.  It can be used for so many different occasions just by changing out the greeting. You'll find more information on her blog here.

Here is Karla's card for this week, a simple yet masculine card. Go to her blog to find out why this set is so special!

Here is my submission for this week - I chose to go with a fall theme using lots of different textures for interest. Please hop on over to my blog to get more information.

Gotta' Love those Embossing Folders!

Happy August!  Hope you're having a great summer so far!  With all the nice weather (hopefully you're having nice weather!), sometimes it hard to think about staying indoors and stamping!  But all the new stamp sets and accessories in the new Stampin' Up! catalog and Holiday Season catalog call to be played with, even on the most beautiful of days!

Today we're sharing with you one of my favorite items in the catalog; embossing folders!  They're so easy to use, and so inexpensive!  And the results are so impressive!

First up with have Karla's darling card!  She used a new set called Animal Talk, and some great Big Shot dies.  Check out her blog for details on how she made the cute background for her card.

Next up we have Debbie's pretty card!  She embossed designer series paper and then sanded it to reveal the white center of the paper.  Perfect to show off those pretty snowflakes.  Check out Debbie's blog to see more!

Rachel's card is so great!  Love the vintage feel of the card, the perfect watercoloring, the embossed background and the layout!  Head over to Rachel's blog for more information on how she made this great card!

On my card, I used one of my favorite embossing folder, Perfect Polka Dots.  It's so versatile and matches so many stamp images and designer series papers!  Check out my blog for more details on the card.

Thanks as always for stopping by to visit!  We hope that you've been inspired to try out Stampin' Up!'s embossing folders!  Have a great stamping weekend!!
