Hand-stamped Sympathy cards

Happy Friday Monday and thank you so much for visiting us again this week! Sorry for the late posting but we experienced some technical difficulties this weekend.  And now on to our post...

This week's Fabulous Friday theme is one that is always a tough one but very  much appreciated by the recipient - Sympathy cards.  Nothing shows you care more than a hand-stamped card. Check out what our designers came up with this week....

Up first is Karla Anders with this beautiful monochromatic sympathy card featuring the Hold onto Hope stamp set. Please check out Karla's blog post here for more information about her project.

And next we have Rachel Yurkanin's gorgeous card featuring the Perennial Essence DSP and Woven Heirlooms stamp set.  Be sure to visit her blog post here to get all the details about this card.

Last but not least is this dog-lover's sympathy card from Debbie Naylor. Losing a pet is so hard and hopefully this card will brighten their day just a little bit.  Please hop over to Debbie's blog post here for more details about her card.

As always, we thank you for stopping by.  We hope we brought you some ideas and inspiration so that you can use your Stampin' Up! products to make some fabulous sympathy cards.  Thanks and have a great weekend!

The color challenge includes whisper white, basic black, pineapple punch and real red. What can you make using those colors.

First up, we have Debbie Naylor's card. The pop of yellow stands out so much against the black and white background. This is a great card to brighten someones day and just let them know you are thinking about them. Don't forget to visit her blog for more details.

Next, we have Karla Anders card. Isn't that little chick adorable? He's all ready for the upcoming holidays. What great Christmas inspiration. Definitely a fun card to receive during the holidays. Be sure to visit Karla's blog for more information.

And finally, we have Rachel Yurkanin's card. This card is a great card for a teacher or to make for the teacher to give to her students. It is sure to make either recipient smile thinking that someone cared enough to make them a card. Don't forget to visit her blog for all the details.

Celebrating 10 years of Fabulous Fridays!!!!

Happy Friday and Happy 10 Year Anniversary to us!!  We published our first Fabulous Friday post way back on September 4, 2009 (see it HERE).  Originally there were 4 of us, all friends through Stampin' Up! who attended Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah in July 2009 and decided to start this creative journey together: Debbie Naylor, Jacque Craig, Karla Anders and Rachel Yurkanin.  We came from all over the United States but all had a love of Stampin' Up! in common.  Jacque left us a few years back to focus on her business. Jennifer Rawlings then joined us but is now taking a break to focus on her family. Rachel Yurkanin took a short break to focus on work/family and has since re-joined us.  Cindy Blekas was a long-time guest designer and we hope to see her pop back in from time to time.  Through the years we have enjoyed coming up with themes to get our creative juices flowing and we hope that we have inspired you.

To thank you for visiting us each and every week we are giving away Blog Candy to a lucky winner each week for the next three Fridays! This week our Blog Candy includes a package of Large Pearl Basic Jewels, Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and the Beautiful Peacock stamp set.  To enter, please leave us a comment below - you can tell us what you've liked or what you'd like to see in future projects or themes, what your favorite Stampin' Up! products are, etc.... anything to encourage us and share in our celebration.  Next Thursday morning at 9 am ET (September 12, 2019), we will randomly choose a winner and announce it on our blog next Friday.  So what are you waiting for?  Go ahead and get a comment submitted so you don't forget to enter!  And when you're done with that, read on to see some fun Then and Now projects - we decided to take a past Fabulous Friday project and re-vamp it using current products... a fun CASE of a past project.  Enjoy!

Now...

And then...

Up first is this fun butterfly card from Karla Anders.  She CASE'd her Fabulous Friday card from May 31, 2013.  Don't you like this vertical design? Be sure to visit Karla's blog post here for more information about her card.

And then...

Next we have this sponged beach scene card from Debbie Naylor.  She CASE'd her Fabulous Friday card from June 14, 2013.  The stamp set, die cuts and colors may have retired but it isn't too far off, is it?  Be sure to hop over to Debbie's blog post here to get more details about this project.

And then...

And last up is this fun nautical card from Rachel Yurkanin.  She CASE'd her Fabulous Friday card from June 30, 2017.  Looks like she drew her inspiration from the stripes and colors of her card.  For more information about this project, please visit Rachel's blog post here.
