Retiring Stamp sets for Fabulous Friday

It happens every year....Stampin' Up! goes through the current catalog and retires about a 1/3 of the stamp sets and accessories. This year it seems early for this to be happening huh? Well, that's because the new catalog is coming out a month earlier than it has in the past. Just one of the many exciting changes that are happening at SU!
The retirement stamp set list was posted last week and the accessory retirement list was posted this week. It's my (Karla) week to pick the theme here at the Sisters in Stamping and I picked Retiring Stamp sets and Accessories. First up is Debbie--

Debbie used 2 things on her scrap book page that are leaving the catalog. Can you spot them?? Find out if your right by going to Debbie's blog.

Here is my card for this week--

I have posted a picture on my blog with the book mark out of the slit that I cut in the front.

Next up is Jacque's card--
A fun Birthday card using a retiring Hostess stamp set. She used 2 things that are retiring too! Find out all of the details on Jacque's blog.

Lastly we have Rachel's card--

Rachel used a retiring set and a set from the Occasions Mini. Last day to order from that is Monday April 30, 2012. Here is a link to her blog so you can go over and check it out.

Well that's it for the Sisters this week. Remember that the last day to purchase retiring sets is May 31, 2012--earlier than in the past years-- so put your wish list together and contact you Stampin' Up! demonstrator today!

Scrapbooking with Stampin' Up! is Fabulous!

With National Scrapbooking month happening in just a couple of weeks we wanted to get you excited about using your favorite Stampin' Up! items on your pages.  I was first drawn to Stampin' Up! because I saw the value and versatility of stamping on my scrapbook pages - alphabet sets were the first ones I purchased and I can't even imagine scrapbooking today without my Big Shot.  Now I try to purchase stamp sets and Big Shot dies that work great both in my cardmaking AND scrapbooking... how about you?

This week we're sharing fabulous layouts we created using our favorite Stampin' Up! products - thanks for stopping by to check it out!  Enjoy...

Rachel created this 6" x 6" page that is perfect for capturing your Disney memories.  Be sure to visit her blog here to get all the information.

This 6" x 6" layout was designed by Karla for a Mother/Daughter class.  Find more details on her blog here.

This 12" x 12" scrapbook page was created by me (Debbie) and features the gorgeous papers from the Summer Smooches sneak peak product promotion this month.  Please visit my blog here for more information.

Thanks for stopping by today!  We hope you found some inspiration for your scrapbooking.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Get a Jump on Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is a month away from today!  Have you had a chance to make your Mother's Day card(s), or at least thought about it?  If not, here are some cards to help inspire you!

For my Mother's Day card I used the new Bright Blossoms stamp set that is part of the Summer Smooches promotion going on this month.  I also used the Loved Ones greetings stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, which ends this month.  Check out my (Jacque) blog for more details!

Here is Karla's pretty card!  She used the Packed for Mom stamp from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I really like how she used the punches to layer her greeting, and added the pretty little flowers with pearl centers!  Check out Karla's blog for more details!

Debbie designed this card with attached fabric flower pin featuring the Summer Smooches product line that is a sneak peek promotion this month - be sure and visit Debbie's blog for more information.

Rachel designed her card using the awesome Blossom Builders kit found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Want to learn how she made it in about 10 minutes, head over to her blog for more information.

Thanks as always for stopping by to visit us and we hope you have a great weekend and have a little (or a lot) of time for crafting!!

Let's Hear it for Spring!

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday here at Sisters in Stamping.  This week we are sharing some projects made using a Spring theme.  I think we are all welcoming Spring with open arms.  It's such a nice time of year with new growth and freshness all around.

This first card is made by Rachel.  Flying a kite is a great way to get outdoors after a long winter.  Be sure to head over to Rachel's blog for more information.

The card above certainly tells us it's Springtime with the flowers and cute little chick still in half it's shell.  If you go check out Jacque's blog she will tell you  more about it.

Debbie used the Blossom Builders designer kit to create her springtime card - it is a gift card holder.  Be sure and visit her blog here for more information and to see the inside of this card.

Karla used the same set as Jacque this week and yet their cards look completely different! Go to Karla's blog to get the details on her fun background technique.

Thank you for visiting us today.
