Summer Mini Catalog - Last Month!

Where does the time go?!?  It seems like the Summer Mini Catalog just came out and now it's almost time for us to retire it and move on to the Holiday Mini Catalog!!!  Before we let it go though, we wanted to showcase some of our favorite products from this catalog!

One of my favorite sets in the Summer Mini is the Hostess Level 2 set, Punched Posies.  I like adding layers to my cards, but don't especially like cutting things out, so I love the fact that almost every stamp in this set has a matching punch!  Check out my blog for a list of the supplies I used to make this card.

Debbie made a cute tea bag holder card using the greeting set Favorite Thoughts and the scallop envelope bigz die.  Check out Debbie's blog for details on how to make this great card!

Rachel made these cute little favor boxes and the Island Floral die for the big shot.  These are quick, easy favors that give a lot of punch. Great for the end of the year summer BBQ.  Check out Rachel's blog for more details on how to re-create them for yourself.

Karla's card uses a really cool technique with the stamp set Watercolor Trio. Check out her blog for more details and information on the stamper who came up with it: http://stampinwithk.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by and please check back with us next Friday when we will be showcasing the exclusive Stampin' Up! Build-A-Bear workshop products!  Have a great weekend!

This week for Fabulous Friday we decided to focus on these wonderful exclusive hostess stamp sets to try and convince you to host a workshop so you can earn one or more for FREE!  And have you heard the news? Stampin' Up! announced this week at our annual Convention that there will be a hostess special during the month of August - any hostess who reaches $350 in workshop orders will receive an additional $25 in hostess benefits!  Yippee!

First up is a great piece of framed artwork created by Rachel Yurkanin. She used the hostess level 2 stamp set called Apple Blossoms.  Please be sure and stop by Rachel's blog to get all of the details!

This next project is from Jacque Craig.  She created this gorgeous card using the Fast & Fabulous hostess level 2 stamp set.  You will find all the details on Jacque's blog.

This fabulous card from Karla Anders features the Because I Care hostess level 1 stamp set and has a fancy fold inside... but you'll have to visit Karla's blog to find out what it is!!

Glad you came back for another Fabulous Friday here at Sisters in Stamping.  This week our challenge was to use some of the new colors that just came out on July 1st.  The color renovation is so fresh and inviting, it just screams for you to start creating.

Our first project is brought to us by Debbie Naylor.  She used the great new yellow called Daffodil Delight on her card.  She also used the new set called Aviary. Isn't it darling? Head on over to her blog to get all the details on her project.

Jacque Craig designed this very sophisticated looking card using the new Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft) for her main color.  She also used the new set called Just Believe.  I love the "dazzle" she finished the card off with.  Check out Jacque's blog for more details to create this card.

Next up, we have this fun card by Karla Anders.  She used some of the fun new Daffodil Delight ribbon on her card for a splash of new color.  The set she used is a new Hostess set called Long Fellows.  Book your workshop with your demonstrator today to earn this set.  Head over to Karla's blog for more information on this cute card.

And finally, we have my card (Rachel Yurkanin).  I used the Crushed Concord and the Pear Pizazz colors.  I also used the new Big Shot embossing folders called Elegant Lines and the great new half back pearls.  Check out my blog for full details on this card.

Thanks for visiting us this week and be sure to come back next week.  We will show you samples using the awesome new hostess sets.

Until next time,

Debbie, Jacque, Karla, & Rachel

The New Catalog is Here!

The new catalog arrived on July 1st, and if you haven't gotten your hands on one yet, rush to get one now!  The catalog is full of great new sets, accessories, tools, etc.!!  Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on items from the new catalog!  This week we are spotlighting new accessories!

Karla made this beautiful card using the new textured impressions embossing folder Vintage Wallpaper.  I love the embossing folders as they are inexpensive, easy to use, but pack a huge WOW factor as you can tell by Karla's card.  Check out Karla's blog to see how she did the vintage technique.

Debbie created this card featuring several of the new punches in the catalog.  If you love punches, be sure and check out the 4 pages of punches in the catalog!  They've all been redesigned to the new style and there are even new punch caddies to store them.  You will find all the details for this project on Debbie's blog.

Rachel used two new accessories on her card. She used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and the 1/8" taffeta ribbon in marina mist. Embossing folders really make beautiful cards with minimal effort. For complete details go to Rachel's blog.

One thing I always rush to look at when we get a new catalog, is the Designer Series Paper.  Although I only used a little piece on this card it really adds to the look.  I also used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  It was my first time using it and I think I spritzed a little bit too much.  If you haven't used it yet, I would say spray lightly, let it dry, and then if you want to add a little more then, go for it!  Check out my blog (Jacque) for the rest of the ingredients used to make this card.

Thank you for visiting and please come by next Friday when we will be spotlighting some of the new colors in our beautiful color collections!  Until then, have a great weekend!

Time to say Goodbye, already?

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday here at Sisters in Stamping.  We are thrilled you have joined us again and hope you find some inspiration from our creations.  This week we decided to focus on the Last Chance Stamp List (aka Retiring Stamps).  It's such a sad,  yet happy time of year. We are always sad to see some of our favorite sets retiring, yet we CAN'T wait to get out hands on the new stamps either.

You have only 6 days left (including today) to get your favorite stamp sets before they are gone forever. Be sure to contact your demonstrator before it's too late.

First up we have an altered file folder mini scrapbook created by Debbie Naylor.  She used the Just Jawing stamp set, one that is popular with many tweens and teens.  Check out the bling on the one tooth.  For more information, head on over to Debbie's blog.

Next we have Jacque Craig's card using the Embrace Life stamp set.  Jacque also used some retiring colors, mellow moss and cameo coral for her soft, sophisticated thank you card. Check out Jacque's blog for more information.

Here we have a card created by Karla Anders. She used the Owl Together Now stamp set for this great card.  She also used some retiring colors, Lovely Lilac and Gable Green for her card. Hop on over to Karla's blog for more information.

And lastly, we have Rachel Yurkanin's bright and cheerful thank you card.  Rachel used the stamp set Enjoy Every Moment. She also used some retiring colors: taken with teal, pink passion and summer sun.  For more information on Rachel's, click here.

Thank you for visiting us this week and be sure to check back next week when our focus will be Red, White, and Blue.  Have a great week.
